Supreme Court Convicts PM Gilani in Contempt Case


Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday convicted Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in contempt of court case for not writing letter to Swiss officials.
A seven-judge bench headed by Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk had reserved its judgment on Tuesday in the contempt case initiated against Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani for failing to act on the apex court’s directives to reopen graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari. PM Gilani leaves court after completing punishment of about 30 seconds.
