Federal Cabinet resigns



ISLAMABAD: The members of the federal cabinet on Wednesday offered his resignation to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani after Party (PPP) of the ruling Pakistan People's Central Executive Committee (CEC) has the power to close the cabinet premier.

PPP sources said, less than a dozen ministers will be sworn in the first phase of the formation of a new, smaller cabinet. Gilani said the company has taken 782 decisions from March 31, 2008, of which 605 were carried out the decisions, with 175 in the implementation process. "This indicates that 77 percent of cabinet decisions were made, he added.

According to sources in the first phase, eight ministers of the PPP, including Muhammad Nazar Gondal, Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Naveed Qamar, while two new faces Faisal Raza Abidi senator and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Fouzia Wahab as Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting would be included in the kit.
